The American Peptide Symposium was an excellent meeting with some very interesting presentations on microwave peptide synthesis. CEM’s new Accent System for reaction monitoring garnered considerable attention from both new and current users of microwave technology. The Microwave Peptide Synthesis Workshop was a resounding success with over 100 attendees asking numerous questions of our three panelists: Daniel DeOliveira, a Senior Scientist at Ipsen; Wajiha Khan, a Principal Scientist at Hoffman La Roche; and Claudio Mapelli, a Senior Principal Scientist at Bristol-Myers Squib. The panelists and CEM peptide chemists discussed various aspects of microwave peptide synthesis and the hardware involved, as well as tips on getting the most out of your Liberty System. Liberty continues to be the best-selling peptide synthesizer available.
