(Matthews, North Carolina) February 18, 2009 - CEM Corporation, a leading global
provider of microwave laboratory instrumentation, is pleased to announce the introduction of the
EasyPrep™ Vessel for use in the best-selling MARS Microwave Reaction System. EasyPrep has
no fittings or membranes and is simpler to assemble and use than any other high-pressure/high
temperature vessels.

Up to 12 high-pressure vessels may be run simultaneously at temperatures up to 300 °C. This
improved design features tough, durable Teflon® liners and composite sleeves for added
strength. Changes in the seal design will greatly increase the durability and lifetime of this type
of vessel. Even the most difficult matrices, such as refractory materials, ores, slags, and
hazardous wastes can be digested in minutes!
