Join the MARS 6 applications specialists at our Matthews, NC global headquarters on 23 & 24 May, 2018.  

Training sessions are now full

  • Recommended for beginner and intermediate users
  • Hands on class with both laboratory and lecture portions
  • Prepare a combination of routine and difficult organic and inorganic samples
  • Learn which vessel is right for your applications
  • Practice proper vessel assembly and cleaning
  • Tips on getting your vessels to last longer
  • Limited class size to ensure one-on-one training

 


Registration fee ($995) includes class and materials as well as 2 days continental breakfast, 2 lunches, and dinner on the evening of 23 May.

Class begins at 9:00 AM on 23 May and concludes at 3:30 PM on 24 May.

Dress is casual including dinner

Please dress accordingly for lab work (i.e. long pants, closed-toe shoes, lab prescription safety glasses if required etc.)

CEM will provide disposable lab coats, gloves and lab glasses

CEM will provide transportation to and from the airport

Day 1

9:30 - 10:00              Lecture: Microwave Theory (How Microwaves Work)

10:00 - 10:45            Lecture: Preparing Organic Samples

10:45 - 11:00            Break

11:00 - 12:00            Lecture: Preparing Inorganic Samples  

12:00 - 1:00              Lunch  (PROVIDED)  

1:00 - 1:30                Lecture: Importance of Proper Vessel Assembly Including Control Vessels

1:30 - 2:00                Lecture: Choosing the Right Vessel for Your Application

2:00 - 5:00                Lab: Digestion of Organic Samples                     
 

TRANSPORTATION BACK TO HOTEL (PROVIDED BY CEM)


7:00 p.m.                  Dinner (TBD) Provided by CEM

1:00 - 1:30                Lecture: Tips to Achieving Lower Blanks in Your Sample Prepartion

1:30 - 3:00                Lab: Complete any leftover lab work and discussions

3:00 - 3:30                Wrap up and Certificates

Note: CEM will provide transportation back to the airport.   Please schedule your return flights for 5:30 PM or later to allow time to get back to the airport
