Q-Cups are coated aluminum sample holders for the EDGE Extraction System. Q-Cups consist of a cylinder piece which holds the sample, and a threaded bottom piece which holds the Q-Disc filter. This kit includes 12 Q-Cups, which is the maximum number of samples that can be extracted in a run. For efficiency, it's recommended to have two sets (24 Q-Cups) and two Glass Vial Racks. This would allow one set to be ran in an EDGE, while another set is being prepared.

Q-Discs are filters that are inserted into a Q-Cup Sample Holder for the EDGE Extraction System. The C1 discs are thin 2.5 µm cellulose filters recommended for extraction applications of dry samples. These discs are suitable for GC or Gravimetric analysis.

Q-Shields are applied to the top of the glass collection vials for the EDGE Extraction System. The disposable aluminum shields help to eliminate splashing and minimize evaporation of the extract. The collection vial cap can be used as a tool to firmly apply shields.
