Green Solvents and No Wash Webinar

The new “No wash” SPPS synthesis strategy developed by CEM (Nature Com., December 2023) reduces the use of solvents to a minimum. All solvent-intensive washing steps are completely eliminated during each coupling cycle. An important breakthrough is the removal of a more volatile base for Fmoc deprotection by evaporation at elevated temperature. This process is demonstrated at both research and production scales with no impact on product quality and when applied to a variety of challenging sequences (up to 89 amino acids long).
