Integrated Heating System

Heating at a uniform temperature for the best performance.

Traditional elevated temperature preparative chromatography approaches often focus on column heating only. While this can reduce the system backpressure, it introduces significant band broadening due to a mismatch of temperature between the column wall and the cold incoming mobile phase.

The Prodigy heats both the mobile phase and the column to a uniform temperature, enabling high efficiency chromatography for temperatures up to 80 °C.

Elevated Temperature Chromatography

Excellent separation of hydrophobic peptides.

Elevated temperatures increase the solubility of hydrophobic peptides, improving peak shape and resolution. This results in higher fraction purities and recoveries, while minimizing the number of fractions.

Chromatographic Selectivity

Resolve more impurities.

Temperature is an important parameter that can affect chromatographic selectivity. With the Prodigy, you can maximize your ability to resolve closely eluting impurities.

Workflow Solution

No more ambient temperature scouting runs.

Conventional ambient temperature purification workflows often require additional scouting runs. With the Prodigy, elevated temperature analytical runs can be performed directly at the preparative scale.

Productivity

Run the fastest, most optimized methods.

The use of elevated temperatures results in improved mass transfer kinetics and reduced system backpressure. This enables much higher flow rates and shorter run times.

The built-in focused gradient calculator makes it easy to create optimized focused gradients, minimizing run time while maximizing resolution around the target peak.
