HYBRID Trac Applications

The HYBRID Trac can be used on a wide variety of samples, from raw incoming products, to in-process samples, to final products just before they leave the plant. The HYBRID Trac is the only system that can rapidly and accurately test the moisture/solids and fat content of all sample types, from low to high moisture.
 
 
Dairy Powders

 
Incoming
Dry the incoming sample rapidly with the SMART Turbo microwave and use the SMART Trac II portion of the HYBRID to test milk/cream arriving on the truck to ensure it hits the proper fat levels.  
 
In-process
Use the HYBRID to test the in-process moisture values of the product as it’s pumped in the production pipes throughout the plant. This highly accurate 2-minute test allows the user to optimize the moisture level of in-process powders, thus maximizing the efficiency with which the powders are pumped through the plant. HYBRID Trac also measures the fat level of the in-process powder, indicating what the finished product level will contain. This rapid test provides the user the opportunity to make on-the-fly changes as necessary.
 
Finished Product
The finished dry powder is tested to ensure that the minimum fat content is met and the moisture is below the maximum level at which the product will spoil. The highly accurate and rapid analysis of the HYBRID Trac allows the product to be released immediately after packaging with the confidence that raw materials were optimized and finished product is going out the door at the highest quality.

Incoming
Dry pet food is typically a combination of raw meats and “flours” (seasonings, grains, corn, etc.). It is essential that wet and dry pet food producers have confidence in their incoming fat and moisture values in order to optimize and control their finished products. With the HYBRID Trac, customers can test their wet meats, and with the touch of a button, quickly transition the system to test incoming “flour”.
 
Finished Product
The HYBRID Trac provides an accurate fat and moisture determination in less than 2 minutes for finished products. The high accuracy and repeatability gives customers the confidence that they have come as close to their maximum moisture allowance and minimum fat content without wasting unnecessary starting materials.
