Purchasing a CEM instrument is only the start of the support that we provide. Whether this is the first time you have used a CEM instrument or if you are an experienced operator, our courses aim to provide you with a better understanding of what can be achieved and how to do this. At our laboratory at CEM in Buckingham we run a series of training courses to support you and your business see the full potential of your instruments and improve your analysis.

Sample Preparation Course

ACID DIGESTION FOR MARS & DISCOVER SP-D USERS

Overview:
This is an entry to intermediate level course designed for new operators, as well as those who are working on developing new methods for the CEM MARS and Discover SP-D systems. It will only cover acid digestion. Laboratory work will involve preparation of various sample types, as well as correct vessel assembly and instrument operation. Troubleshooting and routine maintenance will also be discussed.

Food Analysis Course

FAT, MOISTURE AND PROTEIN ANALYSIS USING THE SMART TRAC AND SPRINT, FAMES USING THE MARS

Overview:
This is an intermediate to advanced level course designed for new operators, as well as those who are working on developing new methods for the CEM SMART , SMART TRAC and SPRINT systems. It will cover instrument operation, method development and calibration. Troubleshooting and routine maintenance will also be discussed and demonstrated.

Course registration covers class textbook, laboratory notebook, lunch, standard safety glasses, and lab coat. Students are required to wear long pants and closed toe shoes, consistent with GLP. Class size is strictly limited to ensure the quality of training.
